Hello Andrew, I have just purchased the Marantz Cinema 60. Can you suggest me good bookshelves speakers with not so big footprint to play movies and music having equal interest. Right now I am using Klipsch R-50M.

Would this compare to the Rotel RA 11?

Kef R11 are $3,250 each and the SVS Titans are $2,000 each. So it would be a better comparison to the Evolution Ultra Pinnacle that are $2,500 each People are asking to compare the Titans to the Arendal 1723 which are 150 watt I believe so it’s maybe not fare to them either. 🤷🏻‍♂️

AFTER all that no DIRAC ? Why when Addessy does the job just fine for room correction, unless your a sound engineer and know all the little adjustment needed in your own theater room, for listing to music and audio files? But a DIRAC supported Audio PRE AMP and connect a GOOD HP Wattage to some good hi end speakers and even then your looking upwards of over 50K just for the speakers alone ( for 2 HI FI speakers) and then the cost of the amps and pre amps etc.✌👌🦘

After a lot of thought this guy does not have a clue, I bet Sony sent him this, HT-A9 was a disaster due to the connectivity issues, that many people send ALOT of money on which Andrew mentions for 1sec, that Sony never addressed, complete disaster, now he wants to go spend another $2500 on another useless Sony product. 20mins of used car sales man garbage, I mean come on Andrew your better than this.

could you do a video on full home-theatre systems from each brand? such as a full system of klipsch refernce, kef metas, jamo, bowers and wilken etc? just to compare them all maybe even all on the same amp. I love you vids!!

Re the L100 mention does anyone know if there a quality difference between the original JBL L100 classic vs the new mk2? The Black version looks like it's built far better than the original classic.

I still buy both vinyl and cd's. Most people's negative experiences with both formats are as follows: A lot of mass produced cd players have used low grade DA converters and cheap plastic construction, degrading their sound and longevity. With analog things are similar but with obviously different mechanics. Vinyl playback can suffer from speed variations, low cartridge quality, alignment, and light weight plinth construction causing vibration. These problems don't exist in high end turntables. They are highly musical and accurate. According to my experiences the better turntables and cd players more often meet at the same musical performance crossroads. It's all in design, quality and execution. Sometimes they both can sound better than the other. I've invested in a high end cd player and a high end turntable/cartridge system and under most cases they sound practically identical with no clear winner!

I wish you would vintage receiver reviews. Anything new does not matter how expensive, my vinyls sound like crap on it. I am so sick and tired of phono stages on 1000 receivers give me a flat response.

does anyone use an Apple TV 4K with the Bose 600? I don't understand how to get Dolby Atmos to play because the audio comes through via Airplay.

Great review as always, thanks Andrew and Kristi. Iimagine this is a detail you won't recall but wondering if any owners will do, as I am very tempted to buy one of these. Does anybody know if this has a network wake function e.g. so you can wake the app from airplay and also does it have auto channel switching so if I put the TV on (say connected via the HDMIARC) the amp will switch to that channel? I looked in the manual and it doesn't mention so assume not but just checking. Thank you.

19:05 Andrew said their bedroom has remained gear free for not upgrading their tv for better part of a year… I thought that was funny…. We’ve had the same tv in our bedroom coming up to around 8 years now😂

The pic quality isn’t that great.. sound is mediocre and this tv won’t connect to my Yamaha soundbar via Bluetooth or HDMI.. yes I went thru all the settings also I have no idea why these companies keep making these small garbage remotes with no numbers on it!!

Can a equalizer be used with this unit? I had a Realistic equalizer hooked up to the Onkyo im replacing.

This may seem highly specific, but I'm presently looking at very similar pricing between the equal-sized models of the X90L and the X95J (contrary to what may seem logical, all of this acrually costs more in Japan and doesn't discount particularly quickly). My pretty obvious question here is... have a couple of years of advancements given an edge to the 90 series, or would it still be best to swing for the older 95 model?

Im picking the Heresy IVs. Loved them in the 70s.

Here in Australia, new gear is stupid expensive. I’d like to support smaller companies like Exposure, and their 2510 looks good, but it‘s $3,300 for what amounts to a power amp with an input selector, volume control and a phono pre. No DAC, no HDMI, no streaming, no app. It’s class A/B and there’s nothing cutting edge going on with it. Built in the UK which is nice but still….. I’m rooting for the low cost Chinese amplifier manufacturers. I’m tired of risking three grand on something that I might not like. HIFI is likely to take a huge hit going forward in my view. People are slamming their wallets closed and for good reason.

Seems like as much a review of the McIntosh as the Leak. Woykd be curious to go back in time and see what other speakers you've reviewed without the benefit of the binghamton massive power units would get a leg up from being driven this way.

A11 Tribute is a better choice: Pre OUT, better sound, cheaper... and a display, and fw update possibility... 😄

I actually own the Leak Stereo 130 integrated amp for my home office system and have really enjoyed it. I wonder how it would mate with these speakers being in the same brand family. I thought I remember reading the stereo 130 was actually a rebadged amp. I wonder if these speakers are also rebadged?

Yamaha missing something? May I suggest Q-tips? Also, a lot has to do with source material… and speakers….

Very nice review! I am interested in what IAG is doing to their own speaker lines - Wharfedale, Mission, and now Leak all seem to be offering similar products in smaller and larger sizes - it's getting crowded in there! I wonder if all this choice will get confusing to the consumer.

Nearly bought one to upgrade from my 6700H but it’s too deep for my cabinet! The unit is close to 50cm deep so, allowing for cable at the back, I need interior depth of 55-60cm :(

I have the Definitive Tech BP7000sc. Both amps failed! I just took apart the huge 65lb. sub-woofer and found a safety issue. They did not use standard T-nuts but only flimsy WASHERS as anchors for the 12 machine screws on the uber heavy SUB! Absurd. There are 2 amps in these called low level and a high level. Both need replaced or repaired. The workmanship is shoddy at best so sad as the design was great. What to do? Well for $300.00 we can mail both amps back to Denon / Definitive Tech for repair. I am doing that now... But after discovering the safety issue I requested a comparable replacement. Good luck with that on legacy speakers, but I am trying. Imagine if they only used flimsy washers as anchors what other crap they did on those failing PCB boards causing the amps to fail. Good luck! Call here to initiate a repair that will cost you 300 buks...they say they may not even be able to repair it though... Call the Denon support line at 1-800-228-7148. Honestly they should send comparable replacements.
